KRC0294

KUKA Robot KRC0294 - ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE NOT POSSIBLE <axis number>

ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE NOT POSSIBLE <axis number>

The sensor adjustment procedure cannot be executed because the specified axis lacks the required KTL encoder and DSE (Digital Sensor Electronics) hardware. This alarm prevents adjustment on incompatible axis configurations.

Common Causes

  • Axis is equipped with traditional analog encoder instead of required KTL encoder technology
  • DSE module has not been installed or is not recognized by the KRC4 control system
  • Hardware configuration in WorkVisual does not match actual physical equipment on the robot
  • KTL encoder or DSE module has failed and is no longer communicating with the control system
  • Incorrect axis is being targeted for adjustment procedure in the maintenance routine

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify the axis hardware specifications match the robot documentation and confirm KTL encoder presence
  2. 2Use the smartPAD to navigate to Maintenance and check the Hardware Configuration section for the target axis
  3. 3Inspect the physical axis for proper KTL encoder and DSE module installation and connector integrity
  4. 4In WorkVisual, confirm that the axis is configured with KTL encoder type and that DSE parameters are correctly defined
  5. 5Check encoder and DSE module cable connections for corrosion, looseness, or damage and reseat connectors
  6. 6If the KTL encoder or DSE module is faulty, coordinate replacement with KUKA service and update hardware configuration in WorkVisual after installation
