KRC0295

KUKA Robot KRC0295 - DATA TRANSFER INVALID <axis number> 1 1151 1152 1153 1154 1155

DATA TRANSFER INVALID <axis number> 1 1151 1152 1153 1154 1155

The data transfer process has failed because the axis does not have the required KTL encoder and DSE hardware installed. This alarm prevents sensor location search initialization on axes without the necessary sensor infrastructure.

Common Causes

  • Axis is equipped with older encoder technology that is not compatible with KTL sensor adjustment procedures
  • DSE module required for sensor location search has not been installed on this axis
  • KRC4 system has outdated configuration data that does not reflect actual installed hardware
  • Both KTL encoder and DSE are present but not properly installed or connected to the control system
  • Robot axis was swapped or replaced with an older model lacking KTL encoder capability

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Confirm the axis model and hardware revision against the current robot documentation to verify KTL encoder requirement
  2. 2Check the physical axis assembly to confirm KTL encoder and DSE module are both physically present and properly mounted
  3. 3Inspect all connectors between the axis, encoder, DSE module, and KRC4 control cabinet for secure seating and cleanliness
  4. 4In WorkVisual, navigate to the axis configuration and verify that KTL encoder type is selected and DSE parameters are enabled
  5. 5Use the smartPAD Hardware menu to run a diagnostic check and confirm all axis components are detected by the control system
  6. 6If hardware is confirmed missing or non-functional, order the required KTL encoder and DSE module kit from KUKA and perform installation following factory documentation
