KRC0296

KUKA Robot KRC0296 - PERFORM DATA TRANSFER <axis number>

PERFORM DATA TRANSFER <axis number>

Sensor adjustment cannot proceed because a sensor location search has not yet been performed on the target axis. The KRC4 system requires that encoder reference points be established before adjustment calibration can begin.

Common Causes

  • Operator skipped the sensor location search step and attempted to start adjustment procedure directly
  • Previous sensor location search was interrupted or terminated before completion
  • Control system memory was cleared or reset, losing the stored sensor location data from prior search
  • Robot was powered down with a fault condition before sensor location search could be saved to permanent storage
  • Incorrect sequence followed in the maintenance procedure without returning to the initial calibration steps

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Review the maintenance procedure documentation on the smartPAD to confirm the correct sequence, starting with sensor location search
  2. 2Navigate to the Maintenance menu in the KRC4 and select Sensor Location Search for the target axis
  3. 3Execute the sensor location search procedure completely, allowing the system to scan the full encoder range and establish reference positions
  4. 4Monitor the progress indicator on the smartPAD to confirm the search completes successfully without interruption
  5. 5Verify in the system database that sensor location data has been saved for the axis by checking the Encoder Calibration section
  6. 6Once sensor location search is confirmed complete, proceed to the adjustment procedure; if errors recur, power cycle the robot and repeat from the sensor location search step
