KRC0145

KUKA Robot KRC0145 - WRONG MACHINE DATA FOR THIS ROBOT TYPE

WRONG MACHINE DATA FOR THIS ROBOT TYPE

This alarm indicates a mismatch between the machine data configuration file and the robot type identifier stored in the robot's base system memory. The KRC controller cannot operate when the active machine data does not correspond to the physical robot type, as this would result in incorrect kinematic calculations, axis limitations, and safety parameters.

Common Causes

  • Machine data file was loaded from a different robot type or model
  • Robot base data was modified or corrupted during a firmware update or system reset
  • Incorrect machine data selection during controller initialization or project setup
  • Machine data file header contains wrong robot type designation or serial number mismatch
  • Partial or incomplete machine data file transfer to the KRC controller memory

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify the physical robot type and model number from the nameplate and compare against the robot type stored in the controller via System > Machine Data menu
  2. 2Load the correct machine data file corresponding to your specific robot model and payload configuration from KUKA's certified database
  3. 3Check the machine data file header information to ensure robot type, serial number, and axis configuration match your installed robot
  4. 4Perform a complete controller restart and reinitialize the machine data through the Startup wizard to ensure proper synchronization
  5. 5If the alarm persists, backup current parameters and reload factory default machine data for your robot type, then reconfigure custom settings
  6. 6Contact KUKA service or your system integrator if machine data corruption is suspected; may require controller diagnostics or data restoration from backup
