KUKA Robot KRC0141 - NO ROBOT NUMBER PROGRAMMED

NO ROBOT NUMBER PROGRAMMED

This alarm indicates that no robot number has been configured in the KRC controller's system parameters. The robot number is a critical identifier used by the controller to distinguish between different robot configurations and load parameters. Without this setting, the controller cannot properly initialize the robot kinematic model and safety functions.

Common Causes

  • Initial system setup incomplete - robot number not yet assigned during commissioning
  • Corrupted or missing robot configuration file in the system memory
  • Incomplete controller initialization or failed parameter loading at startup
  • Accidental deletion or modification of robot identification parameters in the system configuration
  • KRC software update that cleared existing robot identification settings

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Access the System > Robot > Robot Number menu in the KRC controller interface or teach pendant
  2. 2Verify the correct robot model and serial number matches your physical installation
  3. 3Enter the appropriate robot number according to KUKA specifications for your robot model (typically a single digit or two-digit identifier)
  4. 4Save the configuration and confirm the robot number is stored in non-volatile memory
  5. 5Perform a controlled shutdown and restart of the KRC controller to reload all parameters
  6. 6If the error persists after restart, contact KUKA support with your robot's serial number and controller firmware version for parameter recovery assistance
