Safety
Causes and Fixes
Review the faulting program line shown in the alarm display. Identify the variable number being accessed (e.g., #50000, #10, #95).
Navigate to SYSTEM > PARAM and check parameter 6001-6049 (macro variable settings). Verify parameter 6008 (number of additional macro variables) to confirm the total available extended user variables.
Verify the variable range: common variables #100-#199 and #500-#999 are standard; local variables #1-#33 are subroutine-specific; system variables #1000-#9999 are read-only or control-specific. Check Fanuc macro variable manual for your control series.
Correct the program to use valid variable numbers within the permitted range. If extended variables are needed, adjust parameter 6008 to allocate additional macro variable memory (requires control restart).
Changing parameter 6008 clears all existing macro variable data. Backup critical variable values before modification.
