Fanuc Alarm 061 - ADDRESS P/Q NOT FOUND IN G70-G73
Alarm 061 occurs when a G70, G71, G72, or G73 multiple repetitive cycle command is issued without the required P and Q address words. These addresses specify the starting and ending sequence numbers of the finishing or roughing path definition. The CNC cannot execute the canned cycle without knowing which program blocks define the cut geometry.

SYSTEM ALARM 61
Fanuc alarm 061: SYSTEM ALARM 61. This alarm indicates a fault condition detected by the Fanuc control. Refer to the alarm number and name to identify the specific system or function involved.
Root Cause Summary
Alarm 061 occurs when a G70, G71, G72, or G73 multiple repetitive cycle command is issued without the required P and Q address words. These addresses specify the starting and ending sequence numbers of the finishing or roughing path definition. The CNC cannot execute the canned cycle without knowing which program blocks define the cut geometry.
Causes and Fixes
Press RESET to clear the alarm, then enter EDIT mode and navigate to the alarmed program block using the cursor keys or SEARCH function.
Verify the G70/G71/G72/G73 block contains both P and Q addresses (e.g., G71 U2.0 R1.0 P10 Q20). P and Q must reference existing sequence numbers (N numbers) in the program.
Check that the sequence numbers referenced by P and Q exist in the program and define a valid tool path. For G71/G72, this defines the finish profile. For G70, this defines the area to finish after roughing.
Correct the block to include both P and Q addresses with valid sequence number values, then execute the program in SINGLE BLOCK mode to verify proper operation.
Ensure P value is less than Q value and both sequence numbers exist in sequential order in the program.
