Fanuc Alarm 058 - END POINT NOT FOUND
Alarm 058 END POINT NOT FOUND occurs when using Direct Dimension Drawing (DDD) programming mode and the CNC cannot calculate the endpoint of a programmed block due to insufficient or contradictory geometric information. This typically happens when required dimensions, angles, or constraints are missing or improperly specified in the drawing dimension command format.

SYSTEM ALARM 58
Fanuc alarm 058: SYSTEM ALARM 58. This alarm indicates a fault condition detected by the Fanuc control. Refer to the alarm number and name to identify the specific system or function involved.
Root Cause Summary
Alarm 058 END POINT NOT FOUND occurs when using Direct Dimension Drawing (DDD) programming mode and the CNC cannot calculate the endpoint of a programmed block due to insufficient or contradictory geometric information. This typically happens when required dimensions, angles, or constraints are missing or improperly specified in the drawing dimension command format.
Causes and Fixes
Review the alarmed block number displayed on the CNC screen. Check the program at this N-number for missing L (length), A (angle), I/J/K (incremental), or X/Y/Z endpoint specifications.
Verify that each DDD block contains at least two geometric definitions. For example, G01 requires angle and length, or coordinate and angle, or two coordinates to define the endpoint uniquely.
Check Parameter 3450-3459 (Drawing Dimension settings) to confirm DDD feature is properly enabled with bit settings. Bit 0 of P3450 enables DDD mode.
Correct the program by adding the missing dimensional constraint (L, A, or absolute coordinate) to fully define the endpoint geometry. Reset alarm and test program in single block mode.
