Siemens 840D 75607 - Channel RESU: resynchronisation not possible

Channel RESU: resynchronisation not possible

The block search triggered by the compile cycle has been terminated with an error. It can have the following cause: The control is not in the correct operating mode, e.g. in JOG_ AUTO instead of in AUTO.

Safety

  • Refer to Siemens documentation
  • Ensure qualified technician performs repairs

Common Causes

  • Control operating in incorrect mode (JOG_AUTO instead of AUTO mode)
  • Block search/compile cycle interrupted or corrupted mid-execution
  • Program pointer or interpreter state inconsistent with current program block
  • Servo or axis feedback issues preventing synchronization during block search
  • RESU (resume) function called while control unable to re-establish program context

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify control is in AUTO mode, not JOG_AUTO or manual mode; switch to AUTO if necessary
  2. 2Stop current program execution and clear any active alarms; perform a full program stop (NC STOP)
  3. 3Reload or recompile the active program to reset the block search pointer and interpreter state
  4. 4Verify all axes are enabled and servo ready; check axis feedback and position monitoring for errors
  5. 5If issue persists, perform a warm restart of the NCK (control kernel) via system diagnostics without losing program data
