Siemens 27112 - Axis CRC error of the safe actual value.
Alarm 27112 indicates a CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) verification failure in the safe actual value data structure for the specified axis on the SINUMERIK 840D control. This safety-critical alarm occurs when the NCK detects data corruption or transmission errors in the safe position feedback loop, typically originating from hardware communication issues, corrupted NVRAM parameters, or encoder/feedback device malfunctions.
Siemens 27112 - Axis CRC error of the safe actual value.
Axis CRC error of the safe actual value.
An error has been detected on verifying data consistency of the safe actual value (CRC) Control reaction: Alarm display. In addition, a Stop F is triggered that may cause follow-up alarm 27001 with error code 0 as well as alarms 27023 and 27024. Alarm 27001 with error code 0 can be avoided by alarm reduction ($MA_SAFE_ALARM_SUPPRESS_LEVEL higher or equal to 1).

Safety
Causes and Fixes
Access Diagnostics menu (DIAG key) and navigate to Alarms > Archive to document the exact axis number and timestamp. Cross-reference with Commissioning > Parameters to identify which axis safety parameters require verification.
Power cycle the machine completely (minimum 30 seconds) to force NVRAM integrity check on startup. If alarm persists, access Service > Parameters and perform a parameter backup using SINUMERIK Operate or SIMATIC HMI to external media (USB).
Do not attempt manual parameter editing without backup. Document current machine data state before proceeding.
Use NCK menu path Service > Parameter > Load Factory to reset axis-specific safety parameters to default, then re-enter customer-specific values from backup documentation. Verify MD10200 (axis activation) and axis-related safe data MD numbers are correctly populated.
Clear alarms and perform controlled axis homing cycle while monitoring Diagnostics > Actual Values for CRC status. If alarm 27112 clears and safe position feedback stabilizes, perform machine zero-point re-calibration per setup documentation.
