Siemens 27107 - Axis difference in function cam modulo monitoring, NCK: drive:
Alarm 27107 indicates a discrepancy between NCK and drive monitoring channels regarding cam modulo monitoring status (bits 20-21 in result list 2). This cross-comparison safety check detects when the NCK and drive unit disagree on whether cam modulo monitoring is active, suggesting either a communication failure, parameter mismatch, or servo malfunction.
Siemens 27107 - Axis difference in function cam modulo monitoring, NCK: drive:
Axis difference in function cam modulo monitoring, NCK: drive
During cross-comparison of result list 2 a difference was detected between the NCK and drive monitoring channels in the status of cam modulo monitoring. Safe cam modulo range: Bit 20, 21 in result list 2 Monitoring status (,): - OFF = Monitoring is inactive in this monitoring channel - OK = Monitoring is active in this monitoring channel, limit values are not violated - L+ = Monitoring is active in this monitoring channel, upper limit exceeded - L- = Monitoring is active in this monitoring channel, lower limit exceeded Control reaction: NC Start disable in this channel. Alarm display. A Stop F was triggered. If safe monitoring was active, STOP B was also triggered automatically. In this case, a power OFF/ON of the control will be required.

This cross-comparison safety check detects when the NCK and drive unit disagree on whether cam modulo monitoring is active, suggesting either a communication failure, parameter mismatch, or servo malfunction.
Safety
Causes and Fixes
Access Siemens HMI or NCK menu: Diagnose > Axis > [Axis] > Result List 2. Note bits 20 and 21 status for both NCK and drive monitoring channels.
Record exact decimal or binary values before making changes.
In NCK parameters, verify MD33080 (MODULO_DISTANCE) and MD33081 (MODULO_OFFSET) against drive firmware. Compare via Service > Parameter > Axis > Modulo Settings or use SCOUT diagnostics to read drive EEPROM.
Do not modify during active axis motion.
If parameters match, perform a DRIVE <-> NCK sync: Stop the axis, trigger 'Synchronize Parameters' in Commissioning menu, then perform a controlled power cycle (48V reset).
After sync, jog the axis slowly and monitor Result List 2 bits 20/21 continuously. Alarm should clear when both channels show identical monitoring status (both OFF or both OK).
