KUKA Robot KRC0700 - INVALID BLOCK NUMBER 2036

INVALID BLOCK NUMBER 2036

This alarm indicates that the KRL program contains an invalid or non-existent block number reference in a program jump or call instruction. The block numbering in the source code does not match the expected structure, or the referenced block was not properly compiled into the executable program.

Common Causes

  • Block number referenced in GOTO or CALL statement does not exist in the program
  • Incorrect block numbering syntax or formatting in the KRL source code
  • Block was deleted or commented out after program compilation references were created
  • Program was partially recompiled, causing mismatch between source and compiled block numbers
  • Corrupted program file or incomplete program download to the robot controller

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Review the KRL source code and verify all GOTO and CALL statement block number references are valid and exist
  2. 2Check that block numbers are properly formatted and correspond to actual program labels or subroutine definitions
  3. 3Perform a full recompilation and reload of the entire KRL program to the KUKA controller
  4. 4Delete any obsolete or corrupted .src and .out files and recompile from the original source
  5. 5Verify program integrity by checking the program file size and modification dates match expected values
  6. 6If issue persists, restore the program from a known good backup and re-test execution
