KUKA Robot KRC0641 - MINIMUM MUST BE LESS THAN MAXIMUM

MINIMUM MUST BE LESS THAN MAXIMUM

This alarm occurs when an ANOUT (analog output) command is configured with a minimum value that exceeds the maximum value, which is an invalid parameter range. The analog output cannot be properly scaled when minimum is greater than maximum, preventing correct signal transmission to peripheral devices.

Common Causes

  • Incorrect parameter order in ANOUT command where MIN and MAX arguments are reversed
  • Copy-paste error when setting up multiple analog output channels with swapped values
  • Manual KRL code entry mistake assigning larger value to minimum parameter than maximum
  • Incorrect variable initialization for analog output range boundaries in program setup
  • Misunderstanding of ANOUT syntax requirements in legacy KRL code conversion

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Review the ANOUT command syntax in the KRL program and verify MIN parameter is numerically less than MAX parameter
  2. 2Check the actual values assigned to minimum and maximum variables at runtime using KUKA smartPAD variable monitoring
  3. 3Compare the analog output configuration against WorkVisual IO mapping to ensure correct signal range definition
  4. 4Test the ANOUT parameters with known good values from a reference program or template
  5. 5Reconfigure the ANOUT command with corrected MIN and MAX values in the proper sequence
  6. 6Execute a test run with the corrected parameters and monitor analog output signal using external measurement equipment
