KUKA Robot KRC0637 - Application comm. interrupted (File server)

Application comm. interrupted (File server)

The application communication link with the file server has been lost or interrupted during an active operation. This prevents the KUKA robot controller from accessing necessary files or executing file-dependent commands until the connection is restored.

Common Causes

  • File server is offline or unreachable due to network failure
  • Network interface on KUKA controller has disconnected or become unstable
  • File server software or service has crashed or stopped responding
  • Network switch or router failure interrupting communication path to file server
  • Firewall or security policy blocking communication between controller and file server

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify the file server is online and accessible from the network by pinging its IP address
  2. 2Check the network connection status on the KUKA smartPAD or controller network interface
  3. 3Review KUKA controller system logs for network errors or disconnection events
  4. 4Restart the file server service or reboot the file server completely
  5. 5Verify network cables, switches, and routing are functioning correctly between controller and file server
  6. 6Restart the KUKA controller network interface and re-establish file server connection through system settings
