KUKA Robot KRC0634 - Program structure for resume inadmissible

Program structure for resume inadmissible

An interrupt has been declared with a RESUME statement in a program section where an interrupt was triggered, but the advance run pointer location is not properly defined. The KRC4 controller cannot determine the correct return point for program execution after the interrupt is handled.

Common Causes

  • Declaring a RESUME statement in a program section that does not support resumption from interrupts
  • Using RESUME in a called subprogram or SUB module where the advance run pointer context is lost
  • Interrupt triggered in a conditional block or loop where the return point becomes ambiguous
  • Nested interrupt handlers where RESUME is used in the inner interrupt without proper pointer management
  • Program structure changed or modified after interrupt declaration without updating RESUME logic

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Review the program structure documentation to understand which sections support RESUME functionality
  2. 2Verify that the interrupt is declared in the main program level where the advance run pointer can be tracked
  3. 3Check that RESUME is not being used inside called SUB modules or conditional blocks that lack pointer context
  4. 4Restructure the program to ensure interrupt declarations and RESUME statements are at appropriate program levels
  5. 5Use synchronization primitives or state variables instead of RESUME if the interrupt occurs in unsuitable sections
  6. 6Test the program with the corrected interrupt structure on the KUKA smartPAD to confirm proper execution flow
