KUKA Robot KRC0584 - Adjustment possible only in mode T1

Adjustment possible only in mode T1

This alarm indicates that an adjustment or configuration operation was attempted while the robot controller is not in T1 (Teach) mode. The KRC controller requires T1 mode for certain parameter modifications, tool calibrations, and manual teaching functions to ensure operator safety and system integrity. The operation cannot proceed until the controller mode selector is switched to T1.

Common Causes

  • Controller mode selector switch is set to T2 (Teach mode with restricted speed) instead of T1
  • Controller mode selector is in Automatic or AUT mode during a teach or adjustment operation
  • Attempted parameter modification or tool adjustment without proper mode selection
  • User interface command sent to modify settings while controller is in remote or automatic execution mode
  • Mode switch position not fully engaged or making intermittent contact

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Locate the mode selector switch on the KRC controller pendant or control panel and verify its current position
  2. 2Rotate or switch the mode selector to T1 (Teach mode with full speed capability) position
  3. 3Ensure the mode switch is fully engaged and seated in the T1 position
  4. 4Wait for the controller to complete mode transition and confirm T1 mode is active on the teach pendant display
  5. 5Retry the adjustment, calibration, or parameter modification operation that triggered the alarm
  6. 6If the alarm persists, check the mode selector switch for mechanical damage or electrical contact issues and perform a soft reset of the controller if necessary
