KUKA Robot KRC0590 - Stop due to loading new custom data

Stop due to loading new custom data

This alarm occurs when the system attempts to load custom data from the $CUSTOM.DAT file while a robot process or motion command is actively running. The KRC4 controller requires full system resources to execute the loader, preventing concurrent process execution and ensuring data integrity during the loading operation.

Common Causes

  • Attempting to load $CUSTOM.DAT file while a KRL program is executing motion commands
  • Starting a new program or resuming execution before the custom data loader has completed
  • Multiple processes attempting to access system resources simultaneously during file loading
  • Calling loader functions without stopping active robot tasks through the KUKA smartPAD
  • Automatic data synchronization triggered while a robot cycle is in progress

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Stop all active robot processes and programs using the Enable/Disable switch on the KUKA smartPAD
  2. 2Wait for any in-progress loader operations to complete before initiating new commands
  3. 3Verify that no background tasks or interrupt declarations are executing using WorkVisual diagnostics
  4. 4Check the $CUSTOM.DAT file syntax and structure for corruption or invalid entries
  5. 5Review the program logic to ensure loader calls are not nested within active motion or process blocks
  6. 6If persistent, perform a controlled restart of the KRC4 controller and reload the custom data in standalone mode
