KRC0406

KUKA Robot KRC0406 - <object> CANNOT BE DELETED

<object> CANNOT BE DELETED

This alarm indicates an attempt to delete a file or object that is protected by write-protection settings on the KUKA KRC controller. The object cannot be removed until its protection status is modified. This safety feature prevents accidental or unauthorized deletion of critical system files, programs, or configurations.

Common Causes

  • File or object has write-protection flag enabled in file properties
  • Insufficient user access privileges or permission level to delete protected objects
  • System or kernel files that are permanently protected by the controller
  • Network drive or shared resource with restricted deletion permissions
  • Object is currently in use or referenced by an active program or task

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify the write-protection status of the object in the file manager or file properties dialog
  2. 2Disable write-protection by right-clicking the file, selecting Properties, and unchecking the write-protect option
  3. 3Confirm that your user account has appropriate permissions and access level to delete objects in that directory
  4. 4Check if the object is currently being used by an active program or task and stop execution if necessary
  5. 5If the object is on a network drive or shared resource, verify permissions are set to allow deletion
  6. 6Attempt deletion again after modifications; if the alarm persists, consult KUKA system administrator for protected system files
