KUKA Robot KRC0408 - <module> SELECTED

<module> SELECTED

This alarm indicates that a program module cannot be unlinked from memory because it is currently selected and running on the robot controller. The KRC controller prevents deletion or unlinking of active modules to protect program execution integrity and prevent system instability.

Common Causes

  • Attempting to unlink or delete a module while the program is in RUN mode or actively executing
  • Program selection remains active on the controller even after execution has paused
  • Multiple modules selected in the program structure with one still marked as active
  • Insufficient user permissions or protection level preventing proper module deselection
  • Stale program references in the controller memory from interrupted program execution

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Stop program execution by pressing the STOP button or switching the mode selector to MANUAL/T1/T2 on the teach pendant
  2. 2Deselect the currently active module by clicking on a different program or using the program navigation menu in the KRC interface
  3. 3Verify that no subsidiary modules or called programs remain selected by checking the program tree structure
  4. 4Clear any pending program selections by returning to the main program menu and ensuring no modules show selection highlighting
  5. 5If using WorkVisual or offline programming, disconnect and reconnect to the controller to refresh the module selection state
  6. 6Attempt the unlink operation again only after confirming the controller displays IDLE or READY status and no modules are highlighted as selected
