KUKA Robot KRC0284 - SYNACT NOT POSSIBLE <block number>

SYNACT NOT POSSIBLE <block number>

Synchronous actions programmed with $M_TIME or $M_TIME_APO variables cannot be executed when the robot program resumes after emergency stop ramps, path-maintaining stops, or maximum braking events. The system cannot reliably calculate timing offsets during these dynamic transitions.

Common Causes

  • Synchronous action block uses $M_TIME variable immediately after emergency stop ramp-down
  • Program resumes with $M_TIME_APO synchronization following path-maintaining Emergency Stop
  • $M_TIME offset calculation fails during maximum braking deceleration transition
  • Block contains WAIT instruction synchronized to $M_TIME after SafeOperation stop
  • Multiple synchronous actions queued when program execution resumes from braking state

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify program logic does not use $M_TIME or $M_TIME_APO in first block after emergency stop
  2. 2Insert intermediate motion block without synchronous actions after SafeOperation stop before timing-dependent commands
  3. 3Review KRL source code in WorkVisual and remove or delay $M_TIME-dependent instructions
  4. 4Check KUKA smartPAD program execution flow and confirm proper block sequencing after braking events
  5. 5Test program execution with safety functions disabled in controlled environment to isolate timing issues
  6. 6Contact KUKA service to validate $ROBCOR.DAT timing parameters if issue persists after code modifications
