KUKA Robot KRC0163 - START UP

START UP

This is an informational alarm indicating that the robot controller's startup (setup) menu has been selected by the operator through the teach pendant or control interface. This occurs during the initialization sequence when the controller is entering its configuration and diagnostic mode, rather than indicating a fault condition.

Common Causes

  • Operator selected startup menu from teach pendant home screen
  • Controller power cycle with startup menu selection enabled
  • Automatic entry into setup mode due to first-time initialization
  • Manual intervention through control panel to access diagnostic functions
  • System software update or reconfiguration process initiated

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify the startup menu was intentionally selected and confirm operator action
  2. 2Review the startup menu options displayed on the teach pendant screen
  3. 3Check if any configuration changes need to be made in the setup menu
  4. 4If startup menu was not intended, press ESC or Back button to return to normal operation mode
  5. 5Ensure all robot axes are in safe position before exiting startup menu
  6. 6After completing any necessary configuration, select 'Continue' or 'Confirm' to return to normal operating mode
