KRC0115

KUKA Robot KRC0115 - SERVO BUS DISTURBANCE DSE **, NO BUFFERING AND AUTOMATIC DATA STORAGE POSSIBLE

SERVO BUS DISTURBANCE DSE **, NO BUFFERING AND AUTOMATIC DATA STORAGE POSSIBLE

The servo bus communication with the KPS (KUKA Power Supply) has been interrupted, preventing the buffering system from activating. This causes an immediate switchoff without data storage capability, which can result in loss of unsaved program data and abrupt robot deceleration.

Common Causes

  • Loose or damaged servo bus connector between the control cabinet and KPS unit
  • Defective servo bus cable with internal wire breakage or insulation damage
  • KPS hardware failure or power supply malfunction
  • EMI interference from adjacent industrial equipment affecting bus signal integrity
  • Incorrect servo bus termination or configuration in machine data

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Stop all robot operations immediately and secure the work area to prevent safety hazards
  2. 2Inspect all servo bus connectors between the KRC cabinet and KPS for loose connections, corrosion, or pin damage
  3. 3Check the servo bus cable routing for physical damage, pinching, or exposure to extreme heat or moisture
  4. 4Verify servo bus configuration parameters in the machine data using WorkVisual and compare against the original commissioning documentation
  5. 5Test the KPS unit with a diagnostic tool or perform a hardware reset by cycling main power for 30 seconds
  6. 6Contact KUKA service if hardware replacement is required, as the servo bus or KPS may need professional repair or replacement
