KUKA Robot KRC0030 - EMERGENCY STOP DUE TO DIAL ADJUSTMENT

EMERGENCY STOP DUE TO DIAL ADJUSTMENT

This alarm indicates that an emergency stop condition has been triggered due to activation of the dial adjustment softkeys on the teach pendant. The KRC controller halts all robot motion immediately when dial adjustment functions are initiated, as this is a safety interlock to prevent unintended movement during parameter adjustment operations. This is a protective mechanism rather than a fault condition.

Common Causes

  • Accidental pressing of dial adjustment softkeys during robot operation
  • Teach pendant button contact contamination or sticking causing unintended activation
  • Operator initiation of dial adjustment without proper safety procedures
  • Software configuration issue with teach pendant input mapping
  • Mechanical failure of teach pendant dial adjustment buttons maintaining pressed state

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Release all pressed softkeys on the teach pendant and verify no buttons are stuck or held down
  2. 2Check teach pendant physical condition for debris, moisture, or mechanical obstruction in button mechanisms
  3. 3Clear the emergency stop condition by pressing the reset/acknowledge button on the teach pendant or control panel
  4. 4Verify proper teach pendant firmware version matches KRC controller software version in system diagnostics
  5. 5If alarm recurs, perform teach pendant key calibration through the controller's system configuration menu
  6. 6If problem persists, replace the teach pendant and verify alarm does not reoccur; if it does, contact KUKA service for controller software diagnostics
