HEIDENHAIN 239-0111 - 111 CC-FSUC: voltage error CC

111 CC-FSUC: voltage error CC

This safety-related error indicates a fault in the FS microcontroller. Voltage monitoring reports an error. The control has detected a safety issue that may affect safe operation.

Root Cause Summary

This alarm is triggered when the CC axis module's internal voltage monitoring detects that supply voltages have deviated outside acceptable operating ranges. The root cause is typically either inadequate DC bus voltage supply from the main power section, localized voltage regulation failure within the CC module itself, or poor electrical connections causing voltage drops under load conditions.

Safety

  • Refer to Heidenhain service manual
  • Ensure qualified technician performs repairs

Causes and Fixes

  1. 1

    Access CC Voltage Diagnostics

Press MOD key > DIAGNOSIS > CC > select the CC module indicated in %2 parameter. Observe the 'DC Bus Voltage' real-time value. Nominal value should be 540-750V for 3x480V systems, 270-375V for 3x230V systems.

Record the voltage value during normal operation and during axis motion to identify dynamic voltage drops that only occur under load.

  2. 2

    Check Power Supply Unit Output

Measure DC bus voltage directly at the PSU output terminals using a multimeter set to DC voltage range >800V. Compare with the CC module's reported value to verify measurement accuracy.

High voltage present. Use CAT III rated test equipment and appropriate PPE. Lock out main power before accessing terminals.

  3. 3

    Verify Line Reactor and Pre-Charge

Check that the line reactor (if equipped) is properly connected and not shorted. Verify the DC bus pre-charge circuit completes before drive enable by observing the pre-charge contactor timing.

A failing pre-charge resistor or relay can cause insufficient initial voltage that drops further under load.

  4. 4

    Review Simultaneous Axis Loading

Examine the NC program or PLC sequence for simultaneous high-acceleration moves on multiple axes. Check if alarm correlates with specific motion patterns using the Error Memory timestamp.

Modify MP1010 (axis-specific current limits) to reduce peak power demand if undersized power supply is confirmed.

Service Recommendedmedium confidence

Call a technician if:

  • ·CC power supply module replacement required
  • ·Internal voltage rails consistently out of specification
  • ·Multiple related alarms appearing simultaneously

Prevention

  • Maintain cabinet temperature below 40°C
  • Perform annual power supply voltage verification
  • Keep encoder cables away from power conductors
  • Monitor CC current consumption trends

Common Mistakes

  • Ignoring temperature monitoring during troubleshooting
  • Not checking total peripheral current load
  • Assuming alarm is always hardware failure without checking configuration
  • Replacing CC unit without addressing root cause
