Causes and Fixes
Access Diagnostics > Tool Management > Magazine Configuration in SINUMERIK Operate or HMI. Verify MD 20150 tool type matches the magazine location type in MD 20200-20210 (slot compatibility matrix).
Check tool geometry in tool table (SD 32100-32150 range). Compare tool length/diameter against MD 20210 location dimension limits. Use Measure Tool function to verify actual dimensions match database entries.
Incorrect tool offset data (MD 20210) will cause persistent rejection even if tool is physically compatible.
Regenerate the magazine structure via NCK > Tool Management > Recalculate Magazine if location type assignments were recently changed. Clear any corrupted tool database entries via Reset Tool Data function.
Manually assign the tool to a compatible location by editing SD 32000 (tool location assignment) or use manual tool placement mode to verify location acceptance.
