Siemens 300906 - Axis drive safe braking ramp exceeded

Axis drive safe braking ramp exceeded

The drive is disabled via STOP A. Request: In monitoring cycle. The actual velocity of the axis has not been reduced during deceleration with "nset = 0" (STOP B or STOP C) but has increased over the follow-on velocity limit during deceleration and the tolerance entered in MD 1348: $MD_SAFE_VELO_TOL (actual velocity tolerance for SBR). The alarm can be reprogrammed in the MD ALARM_REACTION_CHAN_NOREADY (channel not ready) Control reaction: Mode group not ready. Channel not ready. NC Start disable in this channel. Interface signals are set. Alarm display. NC Stop on alarm. Channel not ready.

Safety

  • Drive/power/encoder circuit: hazardous voltages may remain in the DC link after power-off. Lock out / tag out, wait for discharge per the drive documentation, and use qualified personnel only.

Common Causes

  • The drive is disabled via STOP A.
  • Request: In monitoring cycle.
  • The actual velocity of the axis has not been reduced during deceleration with "nset = 0" (STOP B or STOP C) but has increased over the follow-on velocity limit during deceleration and the tolerance entered in MD 1348: $MD_SAFE_VELO_TOL (actual velocity tolerance for SBR).

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Please inform the authorized personnel/service department.
  2. 2Check the deceleration behavior and, if necessary, modify the velocity tolerance in MD 1348: $MD_SAFE_VELO_TOL.
  3. 3Restart is only possible with POWER ON.
  4. 4Switch control OFF - ON
