Siemens 27036 - Axis encoder parameterization MD [ ] has been adjusted.
Alarm 27036 indicates a mismatch between the encoder parameterization detected by the drive's SI (Spindle Integration) monitoring functions and the NCK-level Machine Data (MD) configuration for the specified axis. The system automatically adjusted the NCK MD to match the drive-side encoder parameters, which may indicate recent encoder replacement, drive firmware update, or manual parameter changes without full system synchronization.
Siemens 27036 - Axis encoder parameterization MD [ ] has been adjusted.
Axis encoder parameterization MD been adjusted.
Encoder parameterization of the encoder read out by the drive for the SI monitoring functions does not match NCK parameterization in the displayed MD. The relevant NCK MD has been adjusted Control reaction: Mode group not ready. Channel not ready. NC Start disable in this channel. Interface signals are set. Alarm display. NC Stop on alarm. In addition, a Stop F is triggered that may cause follow-up alarm 27001 with error code 0 as well as alarms 27023 and 27024. Alarm 27001 with error code 0 can be avoided by alarm reduction ($MA_SAFE_ALARM_SUPPRESS_LEVEL higher or equal to 1).
Root Cause Summary

Safety
Causes and Fixes
Access SINUMERIK HMI: Navigate to Diagnosis > Axis > Encoder Information. Record the drive-detected encoder type, resolution (increments/revolution), and signal format (SSI, EnDat, analog, TTL).
In NCK Parameterization menu, verify MD10200 (Encoder resolution), MD10202 (Signal type), and axis-specific encoder MDs match physical encoder nameplate and drive diagnostics.
Do not blindly accept auto-adjusted values; confirm they match actual hardware installed.
Check machine documentation for correct encoder specifications. If encoder was recently replaced, cross-reference part number and update MDs accordingly before clearing the alarm.
After verification, clear the alarm via machine operator panel or HMI reset function. Monitor for alarm recurrence during next power cycle.
