27037

Siemens 27037 - Axis and with the same PROFIsafe address .

Axis and with the same PROFIsafe address.

The PROFIsafe addresses of these two axes read out by the drive are identical Control reaction: Mode group not ready. Channel not ready. NC Start disable in this channel. Interface signals are set. Alarm display. NC Stop on alarm.

Root Cause Summary

Alarm 27037 indicates that two different axes on the 840D control have been configured with identical PROFIsafe addresses during the safety-related drive parameter readout. This violates the requirement that each axis must have a unique safety address for proper fault detection and safe state management in the distributed drive architecture.

Safety

  • Drive/power/encoder circuit: hazardous voltages may remain in the DC link after power-off. Lock out / tag out, wait for discharge per the drive documentation, and use qualified personnel only.

Causes and Fixes

  1. 1

Access Diagnostics > Axis/Spindle > [Affected Axis] and note both axis designations (%1 and %2) and the duplicate PROFIsafe address (%3) from the alarm text.

  2. 2

In SINAMICS drive commissioning tool (e.g., STARTER or HMI terminal), navigate to drive parameter group P7430 (Safety-Related Parameters) or equivalent safety module configuration. Verify that the 'PROFIsafe Address' or 'CID/Safety Address' parameter differs between the two implicated axes.

Do not assume drive parameters are unique when axes were cloned or copied from a template.

  3. 3

Modify the PROFIsafe address of the second axis to a unique value not used by any other axis on the control system. Ensure the new address is within the valid range (typically 0–127 depending on protocol version).

  4. 4

Perform a complete drive parameter download (Commissioning > Download All Drive Data) and cold restart of the 840D control. Verify alarm 27037 no longer appears during axis readout.
