Block illegal end of file

Alarm 14000 is output in the following situations: - Parts program was not terminated with M30, M02 or M17. - Executing from external: Download was aborted (e.g. because HMI was switched off) Control reaction: Interpreter stop NC Start disable in this channel. Interface signals are set. Alarm display.

Root Cause Summary

SINUMERIK alarm 14000 occurs when the NC kernel cannot locate a valid tool record in the active tool management table for a T-call in the part program. The control requires a complete tool definition with duplo number and at least one D-offset entry to execute tool changes or activate tool compensation.

Safety

  • Only qualified personnel should diagnose and clear control alarms; follow the machine builder's safety procedures and lockout/tagout where hardware work is required.

Causes and Fixes

  1. 1

    Access tool management

Navigate to Parameters > Tool Management > Tool List or press the TOOL key on the operator panel to access the tool management interface.

  2. 2

    Verify tool entry exists

Search for the T-number referenced in the alarm. Check if the tool exists in the active tool list and verify the duplo number assignment.

  3. 3

    Create missing tool entry

If tool is missing, create new tool entry by selecting 'New Tool' and entering the required T-number, tool type, and duplo number.

Use parameter $TC_DP1[t,d] to verify duplo assignments programmatically

  4. 4

    Assign D-offset data

Ensure at least D1 offset is defined for the tool with valid geometry data in the tool offset table.

Always verify tool geometry data before resuming machining operations

DIY Feasiblehigh confidence

Call a technician if:

  • ·Database corruption persists after restore attempts
  • ·Machine data modifications required beyond operator access level
  • ·Hardware tool changer communication issues suspected

Prevention

  • Regularly backup tool management data
  • Implement proper tool numbering conventions
  • Verify tool entries before program execution
  • Monitor tool management database integrity

Common Mistakes

  • Assuming tool exists without verification
  • Ignoring D-offset requirements
  • Not checking duplo number assignments
  • Forgetting to activate tool management after configuration changes
