Restore tool offset data from a known good backup file or re-enter critical tool offsets manually.

Execute a test program with T-number calls to verify TO area is accessible. Monitor alarm buffer during execution.

Check MD18118 $MN_MM_NUM_TOOL and MD18120 $MN_MM_NUM_CUTTING_EDGES_IN_TOA to verify configured tool offset memory size matches system requirements.

Perform NCK file system consistency check via Startup → Commissioning → Memory → 'Check NCK file system'. Review results for TO area errors.

If file system errors detected, backup all NC data, then execute 'NCK file system format and restore' from service menu.

Complete system backup required. Machine will be inoperative during this procedure.

Perform NCK reset with machine data activation (Power ON with MD reset) to reinitialize memory structures.

Verify all machine data backups are current before NCK reset.

Identify the exact NC block triggering the alarm by checking alarm detail information for program name and block number.

Review NC program syntax for TO access commands (e.g., $TC_DP variables, GETT function). Verify tool number exists in tool management and is within configured range.

Cross-reference called T-number against tool management database to ensure tool offset data exists. Check for gaps or undefined tools.

Test with a simplified program using only verified tool numbers. If successful, isolate problematic TO access command in original program.
