Okuma OSP Alarm B 2806 - Door interlock

Door interlock

An operation was attempted while the front door was open with the door interlock function ON, or the front door was opened during ATC operation. The control blocks MT/MG/M06/M228 and related commands while the door is open.

Common Causes

  • MT/MG/M06/M228/MTM/MTS/MGS command attempted with the front door open
  • Front door opened during ATC operation
  • Door interlock specification E or CE production/setting mode conditions not met

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Read the code number shown with the alarm: code 1 = MT/MG/M06/M228/MTM/MTS/MGS command with front door open, door interlock E spec; code 2 = MT/MG/M06/M228/M1059/M1062/M1063/MTM/MTS/MGS command with front door open in CE production/setting mode; code 3 = Command with front door open and door interlock OFF, or front door opened during ATC operation
  2. 2Read the code: 1 means MT/MG/M06/M228/MTM/MTS/MGS command attempted with the front door open in door interlock E spec, 2 means those commands plus M1059/M1062/M1063 attempted with the front door open in CE production or setting mode, 3 means the command attempted with front door open and door interlock OFF, or the front door was opened during ATC operation.
  3. 3Close the front door as the manual directs and confirm the door-closed limit switch makes.
  4. 4For code 3, if the door was opened during ATC operation, return the ATC to a safe state, close the door, and restart the sequence.
  5. 5If the door is closed but the alarm persists, check the front door open/close limit switches and their wiring.
  6. 6Do not defeat the door interlock to run with the door open; work in the setting mode with the proper precautions instead.
