KRC0813

KUKA Robot KRC0813 - “ENDIF” MISSING 2149

“ENDIF” MISSING 2149

This syntax error occurs when a KRL program contains an IF statement without a corresponding ENDIF statement to close the conditional block. The compiler detects the missing ENDIF during program parsing and cannot proceed with compilation until the statement structure is corrected.

Common Causes

  • IF statement not closed with ENDIF keyword
  • Nested IF statements with incomplete ENDIF statements
  • Accidental deletion or commenting out of ENDIF statement
  • Mismatched IF/ELSEIF/ELSE/ENDIF structure with incorrect nesting levels
  • Copy-paste errors resulting in incomplete conditional blocks

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Open the KRL source file indicated in the alarm message and locate the line number where the error occurs
  2. 2Search for all IF statements in the program and verify each one has a corresponding ENDIF
  3. 3Check for nested IF statements and ensure they follow proper nesting with correct ENDIF pairing
  4. 4Review recent edits or changes to the program for accidentally deleted or commented ENDIF statements
  5. 5Verify the IF/ELSEIF/ELSE/ENDIF structure matches proper KRL syntax rules and hierarchy
  6. 6Recompile the program after adding the missing ENDIF statement to resolve the syntax error
