KRC0483

KUKA Robot KRC0483 - Axis <axis number> acceleration not programmed

Axis <axis number> acceleration not programmed

This alarm indicates that the acceleration parameter for a specified axis has not been defined in the robot program. The system variable $ACC_AXIS requires an explicit acceleration value assignment before motion commands can be executed on that axis. Without this parameter, the KRC controller cannot calculate proper motion profiles for safe and controlled axis movement.

Common Causes

  • Missing $ACC_AXIS declaration or initialization in the program source code
  • Acceleration value was deleted or commented out during program editing
  • Program uses axis motion commands without first setting acceleration parameters
  • Incorrect variable name used instead of the standard $ACC_AXIS nomenclature
  • Program structure error where acceleration assignment occurs after motion command execution

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Review the active program file and search for all $ACC_AXIS variable declarations and assignments
  2. 2Verify that the acceleration parameter is assigned before any axis motion commands (PTP, LIN, CIRC) are executed
  3. 3Add or restore the missing acceleration assignment using proper syntax: $ACC_AXIS = <value> where value is in percent (typically 0-100)
  4. 4Check the program initialization section to ensure all required axis parameters ($VEL_AXIS, $ACC_AXIS, $JERK_AXIS) are properly declared
  5. 5Compile and load the corrected program into the KRC controller using the appropriate programming environment
  6. 6Execute a test motion cycle on the affected axis to confirm the alarm no longer appears and motion parameters are valid
