KUKA Robot KRC0481 - Program line does not exist

Program line does not exist

This alarm indicates that the robot controller attempted to execute or reference a program line number that does not exist in the currently loaded program. This typically occurs when a GOTO, CALL, or conditional jump instruction references an invalid or non-existent line label or line number within the KRL program.

Common Causes

  • Line label or target line number referenced in GOTO or conditional jump statement does not exist in the program
  • Typo or incorrect spelling of the line label name in the jump instruction
  • Program line was deleted or modified, but the reference to it was not updated
  • Attempting to jump to a line in a different program file without proper syntax or program structure
  • Corrupted or incomplete program file that is missing expected subroutine or line definitions

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Open the program file in the KUKA smartPAD or KRC editor and locate the line causing the error by checking the program counter position
  2. 2Verify that all GOTO and conditional jump statements reference valid line labels that exist in the program
  3. 3Search the program file for the target line label and confirm it exists with correct spelling and syntax
  4. 4Review recent program edits or changes to ensure line labels were not accidentally deleted or renamed
  5. 5Check that all line labels follow KUKA KRL naming conventions and are properly defined with a colon (:) suffix
  6. 6Reload or recompile the program and test execution in manual mode to isolate the exact problem line
