KUKA Robot KRC0475 - Edit commands now allowed

Edit commands now allowed

This alarm occurs when the operator attempts to edit or modify a program while in the Editing without implicit block selection mode and the target object is write-protected. After the current motion block completes execution, the editor tries to receive enable confirmation, but cannot modify the protected program content.

Common Causes

  • Program file has write-protection enabled in the file system or KRC4 project properties
  • User account does not have sufficient permissions to edit the program in the current SafeOperation security level
  • The KRL program is part of a locked library or template that restricts direct modification
  • WorkVisual project access control lists prevent the current user role from editing this specific program file
  • Program synchronization with a version control system has locked the file from concurrent editing

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Check the file properties of the KRL program in the KRC4 project navigator to verify write-protection status
  2. 2Right-click the program file, select Properties, and ensure write-protection is disabled if editing is required
  3. 3Verify the current user account has Editor or Administrator permissions in the SafeOperation access control settings
  4. 4In WorkVisual, review the project security settings under Access Control to confirm the user role has write permissions for this program
  5. 5If the file is managed by version control, check that no checkout or lock is active from another user or workstation
  6. 6Create a working copy of the program with a different filename if the original must remain protected, then edit and test the copy
