KUKA Robot KRC0383 - TOO MANY OBJECTS ARE SELECTED

TOO MANY OBJECTS ARE SELECTED

This alarm occurs when the operator or program attempts to select more objects than the KUKA KRC controller can handle simultaneously in the work environment or simulation. The controller has a maximum limit on the number of selectable objects that can be active at one time, and exceeding this limit triggers the alarm to prevent system instability or unexpected behavior.

Common Causes

  • Attempting to select multiple geometry objects in the 3D work environment beyond the system limit
  • CAD model or simulation containing too many individual components loaded at once
  • Multiple selection operations performed without deselecting previous objects
  • Importing complex assembly files with excessive number of selectable entities
  • Tool or object library containing duplicate or unnecessary selectable elements

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Clear all current selections by clicking on empty workspace area or using deselect all function in the menu
  2. 2Reduce the number of active objects in the work environment by removing unnecessary geometry or hiding non-essential components
  3. 3Verify CAD model complexity and consolidate or merge unnecessary individual objects into assemblies or groups
  4. 4Close and reopen the project to reset the object selection state and clear any accumulated selections
  5. 5Check KUKA documentation for the maximum object selection limit and restructure your program or simulation accordingly
  6. 6Contact KUKA support if the alarm persists after following these steps, as it may indicate a software issue or controller memory constraint
