KUKA Robot KRC0273 - STOP, APPROXIMATION NOT POSSIBLE

STOP, APPROXIMATION NOT POSSIBLE

The robot cannot execute an approximation movement within the required planning or timing constraints while in T1 or T2 mode with $STOP_NOUES safety flag enabled. This occurs when the trajectory planner cannot calculate a valid path to the target position, forcing the robot to stop for safety reasons.

Common Causes

  • Target position is unreachable within workspace limits or singularity zones
  • $STOP_NOUES flag set to TRUE preventing continuous approximation in teach modes
  • Insufficient velocity or acceleration parameters configured for planned motion
  • Path planning timeout exceeded due to complex obstacle avoidance requirements
  • Operating mode set to T1 or T2 with conflicting motion parameters in KRL program

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify target position is within robot workspace using KUKA smartPAD position display
  2. 2Check $STOP_NOUES variable setting in KRC controller - set to FALSE if continuous motion required
  3. 3Review velocity and acceleration values in $VEL and $ACC variables for feasibility
  4. 4Confirm operating mode matches intended application - switch from T1/T2 to AUT if full speed needed
  5. 5Inspect KRL motion command syntax and parameters using WorkVisual code editor
  6. 6Contact KUKA service if workspace collision or singularity avoidance is preventing valid path planning
