KRC0225

KUKA Robot KRC0225 - ACKN. SERVOBUS DSENO.: <DSE no.> PARTICIPANT NO.: <IBS device> UNKNOWN

ACKN. SERVOBUS DSENO.: <DSE no.> PARTICIPANT NO.: <IBS device> UNKNOWN

An unrecognized or unsupported device has been detected on the Interbus communication network connected to the specified DSE (Drive and Sensor Electronics) module. The KRC controller cannot establish proper communication with this unknown participant device because it lacks the required configuration or device drivers. This typically occurs during system initialization when the controller scans the Interbus network and identifies a device with an unknown or invalid participant number.

Common Causes

  • Incompatible or unsupported third-party device connected to the Interbus network
  • Missing or outdated device configuration file (.dsk or .dev file) in the KRC system
  • Incorrect participant number assignment or duplicate device addresses on the Interbus
  • Corrupted Interbus hardware identifier or device firmware version mismatch
  • Loose or damaged Interbus connector causing incorrect device recognition

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify the device connected to the Interbus is KUKA-certified and supported by the current KRC software version
  2. 2Check the Interbus network topology and participant node addresses using KUKA diagnostic tools to identify the unknown device
  3. 3Confirm all required device configuration files (.dsk/.dev files) are properly installed in the KRC system directory and match the connected hardware
  4. 4Power cycle the entire system including the KRC controller and all Interbus devices, then perform a fresh system scan
  5. 5Consult the device manual and update firmware if necessary, or remove the unsupported device from the Interbus chain if it is not required
  6. 6If the device is required, contact KUKA service to obtain proper configuration files and integration support for the third-party device
