HEIDENHAIN 330-0014 - CC inverter for spindle RDY=0
The CC%2 inverter module is not achieving operational ready state due to either missing prerequisites (DC bus voltage, enable signals, communication) or an internal fault condition within the inverter itself. The Heidenhain TNC monitors the RDY status signal from each CC inverter module via the HSL/UEC communication bus, and this alarm triggers when that handshake fails for the spindle-assigned inverter.
HEIDENHAIN 330-0014 - CC inverter for spindle RDY=0
CC inverter for spindle RDY=0
An error occurred during initialization or cyclic operation of the internal I/O hardware. This affects communication with SPI modules.
Root Cause Summary
The CC%2 inverter module is not achieving operational ready state due to either missing prerequisites (DC bus voltage, enable signals, communication) or an internal fault condition within the inverter itself. The Heidenhain TNC monitors the RDY status signal from each CC inverter module via the HSL/UEC communication bus, and this alarm triggers when that handshake fails for the spindle-assigned inverter.
Safety
Causes and Fixes
Verify main contactor closure
Check that the main power contactor (typically K1) has closed and feedback signal is present. Listen for audible contactor engagement. Verify 400VAC three-phase at inverter input terminals using PLC > Inputs/Outputs monitoring.
Lockout/tagout and use qualified electrician for voltage measurements at power terminals.
Check DC bus voltage level
Access MOD > Monitoring > Drive System or MOD > PLC > Status. Look for DC bus voltage reading for CC%2 module - should display 565-600VDC for 400VAC input. If zero or low (<500V), DC link precharge circuit or bus capacitors may have failed.
The DC bus voltage is displayed under the axis/spindle monitoring page - press 'Show all axes' to see all CC modules simultaneously.
Trace enable signal chain
Verify PLC marker M4100-M4199 range (spindle enable markers) shows enable active. Check safety relay feedback, hydraulic/pneumatic pressure switches, and lubrication OK signals. Use PLC program trace function to identify which condition is blocking enable.
On most machines, M4100 or M4101 is the final spindle enable to CC - search PLC for 'CC ENABLE' or 'SPINDEL ENABLE' comments.
Verify X115/X116 UEC handshake
Check MOD > CfgDisplays > HSL Configuration to confirm CC%2 module shows 'active' status. Verify X115/X116 cable connections are secure at both TNC and CC%2 module. Check for bent pins or cable damage.
Power off control before reseating UEC connectors to prevent bus lockup.
