Troubleshooting Steps
- 1Stop the machine and open the drive cabinet. Check the cooling fan on the power module and cabinet fan array. A stopped or slow fan is the most common cause of this warning.
- 2Clean all heatsink fins and air filters. Drive cabinets accumulate oil mist and metal dust that blocks airflow. Use compressed air to clear the heatsink fins and replace clogged filters.
- 3Measure ambient temperature inside the cabinet. Power modules are typically rated to 45°C ambient. Verify cabinet cooling fans move air correctly and hot air has a clear exit path.
- 4If the warning only appears during heavy cutting, consider adding auxiliary cabinet cooling or reducing duty cycle. Sustained high spindle loads push more heat through the module than light finishing passes.
- 5If cooling is confirmed working and temperature is normal but the warning recurs, the power module may be nearing end of life. Aging capacitors increase heat generation — check module age and plan replacement.
