Siemens 840D 61510 - Channel block: Test run feed is active

Channel block: Test run feed is active

The alarm can be triggered by the following grinding cycles: CYCLE410, CYCLE411, CYCLE413, CYCLE415, CYCLE420 Remedy: Switch off test run feed

Safety

  • Refer to Siemens documentation
  • Ensure qualified technician performs repairs

Common Causes

  • Test run feed mode is enabled in the CNC control panel during active grinding cycle execution
  • Operator activated single-block or test run feed mode before or during CYCLE410, CYCLE411, CYCLE413, CYCLE415, or CYCLE420
  • Machine parameters for test run feed are not properly configured or disabled after previous maintenance/setup
  • Program control logic conflict where test run feed flag remains set from interrupted or previous cycle

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Check the CNC control panel display for active test run feed indicator and manually disable test run feed mode using the appropriate softkey or control button
  2. 2Stop the current program execution and verify that single-block and test run feed modes are both deactivated before restarting the grinding cycle
  3. 3Review the active grinding cycle (CYCLE410, CYCLE411, CYCLE413, CYCLE415, or CYCLE420) in the part program and confirm test run feed is not being called within the cycle logic
  4. 4Reset the channel by pressing the reset button and clear any latched alarm states before attempting to restart the program
  5. 5If issue persists, check machine parameter settings related to test run feed conditions and consult the machine builder documentation for proper configuration reset procedures
