Siemens 61280 - Block : - Mirroring missing in work offset for counterspindle
Alarm 61280 fires when a counterspindle movement is initiated without a corresponding work offset (WO) that includes mirroring parameters. The F_SUB_SP cycle requires mirroring to be active in the selected work offset to properly manage counterspindle geometry compensation and coordinate system transformation.

Root Cause Summary
Alarm 61280 fires when a counterspindle movement is initiated without a corresponding work offset (WO) that includes mirroring parameters. The F_SUB_SP cycle requires mirroring to be active in the selected work offset to properly manage counterspindle geometry compensation and coordinate system transformation.
Safety
Causes and Fixes
Navigate to Diagnosis > Machine Data (MD) > 20080 (Mirror axes in work offset). Verify mirroring is enabled for the active work offset number referenced in alarm block %4.
Check the work offset table (Offset > Geometry) in the control to confirm the offset WO %4 has mirroring axes defined (typically X-axis for counterspindle applications). Verify bits are set correctly in MD 20080.
Mirroring must match machine kinematic configuration for counterspindle.
If mirroring is not configured, enable it via Machine Data > 20080 and specify axes to mirror. Save and restart the NCK to apply changes.
Re-run the program block %2 to verify the F_SUB_SP cycle executes without alarm 61280.
