  • Safety Integrated alarm: work may only be carried out by qualified personnel. After any change to Safety Integrated settings or hardware, repeat the Safety Integrated acceptance test before returning the machine to service.

Causes and Fixes

  1. 1

Access Siemens SINUMERIK Operate or HMI menu: Diagnostics > Alarms to confirm axis number %1 referenced in alarm message.

  2. 2

Navigate to Machine Data > General > Safety and verify MD20100 status for the link axis. Set MD20100 = FALSE to disable Safety Integrated on this axis.

Changing this parameter requires machine in RESET state with program not running.

  3. 3

Confirm the axis is defined as a link axis in MD32000 (AxisType) or equivalent axis configuration. Link axes require MD32200 settings pointing to a master axis.

  4. 4

Save parameters, perform cold restart (Power Cycle/Warm Reset), and verify alarm clears during axis initialization sequence.
