Press OFFSET key and select tool management (or access via menu: MACHINE > Tool Management).

Locate the active tool number referenced in the alarm and examine the 'Life Monitoring' column (may be labeled as 'Monitor' or 'TLM').

Verify the value is exactly 0 (monitoring disabled) or 1 (monitoring enabled). Correct any other values (2, -1, blank, or text characters).

Changing tool monitoring settings may affect automatic tool change behavior and production cycle.

Press INPUT key to save changes and reset the alarm with CANCEL or RESET key.

Access tool management data and identify which tools were recently imported or modified (check timestamp if available).

Check the source file format: Open the original tool data file (CSV, INI, or archive) on external device and verify monitoring columns contain only 0 or 1 values.

If data is corrupted, manually correct the monitoring parameters in the control or re-export tool data from a verified backup source.

Ensure backup data is from the same control software version to avoid compatibility issues.

Re-import corrected tool data or manually set all monitoring fields to valid values (0 or 1), then clear the alarm.

Identify the active NC program and block number where the alarm occurred (visible in alarm detail or program position display).

Search the program for tool life commands: SETPIECE, REFPIECE, $TC_TP6, $TC_TP7, or custom monitoring assignments. Check that assigned values or variables resolve to 0 or 1 only.

If using R-parameters or variables for monitoring values, trace their assignment in the program logic to ensure they cannot equal values other than 0 or 1.

Test modified programs in single block mode to verify correct parameter assignment.

Correct the NC program syntax, save changes, reset the program to start position, and restart cycle after clearing alarm.
