Check related frame machine data MD28082 MM_NUM_USER_FRAMES_CHAN for channel-specific settings and verify consistency with global settings.

If values appear corrupted, restore machine data from a known good backup or reset to default values and reconfigure frame parameters.

Restoring machine data will affect all frame definitions. Document current settings before proceeding.

Perform a Power On Reset (POR) after correcting machine data to reinitialize the frame system.

Identify the NC program block where the alarm occurs by checking the alarm detail buffer and note the program name and line number.

Review the NC program for frame calls (G54-G599, FRAME, TRANS, ROT commands) and verify that referenced frame numbers do not exceed the configured MD18600 value.

Check for syntax errors in frame definitions, particularly in user frame assignments and ensure proper format (e.g., G505, not G5050 or invalid numbers).

Correct the program errors, verify syntax in editor, and test with a dry run before resuming production.

Check SRAM battery voltage in diagnostics (Service > Diagnostics > Battery). Voltage should be above 3.0V for proper data retention.

Perform a file system check using HMI: Service > System Data > Check File System to identify and repair corrupted files or memory areas.

File system repair may result in data loss. Ensure recent backups are available before proceeding.

If battery voltage is low, replace SRAM battery following Siemens procedure, then restore complete system backup including machine data and frames.

Machine will lose all settings on battery replacement if data is corrupted. Complete backup restoration required.

After restoration, verify all user frames are accessible by manually calling each G-code frame (G54-G5xx) in MDI mode without alarm.
