Siemens 10226 - [up to SW 3.x only] Channel : reset aborted
Alarm 10226 occurs on older SINUMERIK 840D systems (software version 3.x and earlier) when a channel reset operation cannot be completed successfully. This typically happens when the control is unable to abort or terminate an active process, motion command, or synchronization action during the reset sequence, leaving the channel in an undefined state.

Safety
Causes and Fixes
Check the channel status display to identify any active auxiliary functions (M, S, T commands) or coupled axis operations that may still be executing.
Execute a controlled feedhold (feed stop) followed by a program stop before attempting the reset operation again.
If coupled axes or gantry configurations are active, verify synchronization status in the axis diagnostics and manually decouple if necessary using machine function panel.
Manually decoupling synchronized axes may cause position offsets; perform reference point approach afterward.
Perform a complete NCK reset using the control panel (NC-Start mode) to clear all channel states, then re-reference all axes before resuming operation.
