Causes and Fixes
Check all NC channels to verify the file is not currently selected or running. Use the HMI to view active programs in all channels.
Perform a complete reset of all NC channels (NC START button or RESET command) to clear any program buffers and release file locks.
This will stop all active machining operations. Ensure machine is in a safe state before resetting.
Exit any program editors or file browsers that may have the file open. Close HMI applications like ShopMill or ShopTurn if they are accessing the file.
Retry the delete operation. If the alarm persists, perform a power cycle of the NCU to clear all system file handles.
Power cycling will interrupt all operations. Coordinate with production before proceeding.
