Causes and Fixes
Access HMI in Service mode and navigate to Commissioning > System Data > Directory Structure to verify the path referenced in the alarm (check %1 parameter for specific path).
Using the integrated file manager or WinSCP via Ethernet, browse to the expected path location (typically under /user/, /oem/, or /addon/) to confirm if directory exists.
Recreate the missing directory with exact naming convention using HMI file browser or SSH/Telnet commands (mkdir command). Ensure proper capitalization as Linux file system is case-sensitive.
Do not create directories in protected system areas (/siemens/sinumerik/) without OEM documentation
Perform NCK Reset (Power ON in position 3) or complete control restart to reinitialize directory structure and clear alarm.
