KUKA Robot KRC1043 - DELETE COMPLETE PROCEDURE ?

DELETE COMPLETE PROCEDURE ?

A DEF block within the KRL program structure cannot be deleted independently because it is part of an integrated procedure definition. The entire procedure containing the DEF block must be removed as a complete unit to maintain program structure integrity.

Common Causes

  • Attempting to delete only a DEF block while leaving the parent procedure intact
  • Misunderstanding of KRL program structure and DEF block dependencies in WorkVisual
  • Incomplete selection of the complete procedure during edit mode in the KUKA smartPAD or WorkVisual IDE
  • DEF block referenced by other procedures within the same program source file
  • Using incorrect delete command syntax in the KRL editor interface

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Review the program structure in WorkVisual to understand the relationship between the DEF block and its parent procedure
  2. 2Select the entire procedure definition that contains the DEF block rather than attempting to isolate and delete only the DEF portion
  3. 3Search the project workspace for any other procedures or program calls that may reference the DEF block before deletion
  4. 4Delete the complete procedure using the standard delete function in WorkVisual or the KUKA smartPAD program editor
  5. 5Compile the modified program using the Build function to ensure no orphaned references remain
  6. 6If needed, recreate the procedure with revised DEF block definitions instead of attempting partial edits
