KRC0878

KUKA Robot KRC0878 - “WAIT CLOCK” NOT AVAILABLE IN PACKAGE 1 2214

“WAIT CLOCK” NOT AVAILABLE IN PACKAGE 1 2214

This alarm indicates that the WAIT CLOCK function or instruction is being called in a KRL program, but this feature is not included in the current KUKA software package configuration (Package 1 2214). The WAIT CLOCK instruction requires a higher or different software package license to be available and enabled.

Common Causes

  • KRL program contains WAIT CLOCK instruction without proper package licensing
  • Software package does not include the WAIT CLOCK functionality module
  • Incorrect or incomplete KUKA software installation for the required package level
  • License file missing or expired for advanced timing/synchronization features
  • Program was developed on a system with higher package level than current robot controller

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify the current software package level installed on the robot controller via System > Software in KUKA smartPAD or KRC configuration tools
  2. 2Check the KRL program source code and remove or comment out all WAIT CLOCK instructions if not essential
  3. 3Contact KUKA support to determine which software package version includes WAIT CLOCK functionality
  4. 4Upgrade the robot controller software to a package level that supports WAIT CLOCK (typically requires higher tier licensing)
  5. 5Verify the license file is properly installed and valid by checking System > Licenses in the controller
  6. 6If upgrading is not possible, refactor the program to use alternative timing methods such as WAIT or timer-based functions available in the current package
